A walk around school.

15 minutes to 5pm, mentally drained from a whole day of marking(8 scripts to show since 8am), I took a walk around the school with my camera.

Was at the Marina Bay Circuit last night for the practice sessions. These cars are really fast, you'd gotta see them with your own eyes, hear the roar of the engines and feel the vibrations as the cars flash by you.

The world's most famous revolutionary stares down on me everyday in the office and sometimes I feel ashamed to look back up at his image, especially these days when i am starting to see the futility of questioning.

Pretty Flowers on the Floor

The Minox DD200 is a 4 megapixel digital camera my mother won in a lucky draw a few years back. For those unfamiliar, Minox is a German company that specializes in miniature cameras, it was briefly owned by Leica. I have been playing with it recently. The little camera, so light it feels like a toy, is unique, in that you get random colour shifts and I love the lomo-esque feel of its photos.

Squeaky Bum Time

It's squeaky bum time with the promos coming up next week. I will be spending all the sunlight hours this week in school helping my kids, which means less opportunity for photography. Not one to be deterred easily, I have decided that this week, my theme will be - My Workspace.

Around the House.

Reflecting on the lessons learnt from the Shooting Thematically workshop last weekend about making pictures out of the mundane, I put on a fresh perspective and went with it around the house.

Once, it was the one tallest and most grand buildings in the area. Today it has been dwarfed by modern skyscrapers. Elegantly, it still stands out.
